Who We Are

Rochester Clutch and Brake Company is a full-service rebuilding and bonding facility of clutch and brake units.

We are able to service a wide variety of applications with over 92 years experience in the industry. Providing you the expertise and time-tested customer service for all clutch and brake applications, servicing an international clientele. We handle Industrial, Agricultural, Automotive, Vintage, Recreational and more.

Rochester Clutch and Brake has been in business since 1927. Starting as a junkyard during the depression years, Grandpa Phillip sold used auto parts and rebuilt transmissions.

Moving to an old furniture warehouse in 1942, Grandpa Phillip was able to concentrate on brake and clutch production and rebuilding, Grandpa Phillip passed on in 1958. Sam Sr. took his place and the business grew tremendously in the 60’s and 70’s and today we are a major force in the re-manufacturing industry.

Sam Sr.

Has kept the business alive and well since 1958. His faith in the Lord and determination to his “Dad’s” shop going, has made Rochester Clutch flourish and grow to its present day reputation for success. Over the years Sam Sr. has had much experience in the racing field and has enjoyed many fine autos such as a 1958 T-Bird, 1965 Mustang 2+2 and his current 1961 Eldorado Convertable of which he is the original owner. In his semi- retirement, he hopes to enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation.

Sam Jr.

Came into the business around 1987. An A+P licensed mechanic, he has many interests in the fields of the automotive and aviation industries. An avid car collector, Sam Jr. has much experience in a wide-variety of clutch applications.

Taking over as president, Sam hopes to bring Rochester Clutch to new heights. Many good things are in store for the future of Rochester Clutch.
