The Greatest Motoring Adventure – Peking to Paris 2022
The Peking to Paris Motor Challenge is unique in the motoring world – this is the elite of the elite vintage race – a true endurance motor rally following in the wheel-tracks of the original pioneers of 1907. Driving an old car nearly halfway around the world with a bunch of like-minded enthusiasts, against the clock, with the added spice of timed sections, makes Peking to Paris the longest and toughest driving challenge for Vintage and Classic cars.
Who Can Participate?
The event route is challenging, and for this reason, they welcome only experienced crews and crews who are prepared to compete in other ERA events prior to tackling the Peking to Paris. You will need a sense of adventure and be prepared to spend nights under canvas in the deserts of Mongolia and Kazakhstan. The ability to carry out regular maintenance on your own car is essential. Average daily distances are around 400 kilometers but, on occasion, they can be as much as 650 kilometers – it is an endurance event after all.
There will be three main categories:
A – Pioneer up to December 1920
B – Vintage & Vintageant from January 1921 up to December 1947
C – Classic from January 1948 to December 1975
Some categories may be subdivided into classes based on engine size

Sam, owner of Rochester Clutch & Brake has been personal owner of over 150 cars since 1987, 6 aircraft, 2 army tanks, vintage buses and race cars.
As a matter of fact, Sam has his own experience in the great race 2013, as well as helping with great race events 2012 and 2015.

Concours to ratrod, steampunk, to vintage aero!
We are devoting at least a 40 hour work week to your project, we do not get to you when we have time..you are our main concentration!
Flat rate: $55/hr
Parts and farmed out services you pay straight from the parts or service invoice. In other words, you pay what we pay!
For example, as your liaison or parts ambassador, if your engine needs a complete overhaul and I am unable to do it, the project is farmed it out to an expert in that type of motor with NO finders fee! Charges will only include machinist consultation and pick up/drop off. That’s it!
Flat rate: $55/hr plus materials – customer receives all invoices.
We are pretty particular on which cars we choose to work on, for example, if you’re looking to rally a 1976 Porshe, then please find another shop.
However, if you have a prewar vehicle from a 1930 ford coupe or 1915 Lafrance speeder, to a 60’s – 70’s muscle car such as a Charger or Mustang, then you’ve come to the right place, We’ve had dozens of these cars.
